Louisiana man killed in head-on collision with semi on I-70 in Russell County, KHP says

A Louisiana man died after losing control of his vehicle and being struck head-on by a semi truck around 3:18 p.m. Saturday in Russell County, Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs show.

The collision happened on I-70 near mile marker 186 eastbound, about two miles east of U.S. 281.

Aaron Bostick, 20, of Bastrop, Louisiana, was heading west on I-70 in an unknown model 1994 GMC vehicle. The report says Bostick lost control, went off the road left, across the median and onto eastbound I-70.

Bostick was struck by a semi truck carrying a trailer heading eastbound. The semi was driven by 63-year-old Alan Putman of Tipton, Missouri. Putman was not injured in the incident; Bostick died at the scene.
