Body found in Kansas lake after kayaker went missing, Fort Scott police say

Search crews found a body in a Kansas lake after a kayaker went missing.

Emergency crews responded to a missing person call on Sunday at Lake Fort Scott, the Fort Scott Police Department said in a news release. The first responders were told 19-year-old Raymond Harper, of Fort Scott, was missing. His friends had found his empty kayak.

A body, believed to be Harper’s, was found Monday afternoon and was sent for an autopsy.
