Dodge City man killed in Pratt County crash on U.S. 54, state troopers say

One man died and two other people were seriously hurt in a Pratt County crash on Sunday.

Emergency crews were called at around 4:39 p.m. to an injury accident on U.S. 54 about 3 miles west of Cunningham, the Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash report.

Investigators determined a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado was westbound on the highway when the pickup left the roadway and the driver over-corrected. The Chevy then rolled in the median and came to rest in the eastbound lanes, the KHP report states.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. He was identified in the report as Jose J. Munoz-Arroyo, 48, of Dodge City. Two passengers were taken to Wesley Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. They were identified as Rolando Caal-May, 41, and Jennifer Munoz, 21, both of Dodge City.
