Winfield offers reward to help solve homicide
The city of Winfield is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the fatal shooting of one man and the serious injury of another earlier this week.
David E. Towles, 32, was shot to death Monday night at 610 E. Third in Winfield, Police Chief Danny Parker said in a statement. A second victim in the shooting, Richard Webster, was taken to a Wichita hospital for treatment. Webster, 40, remains in critical condition, Parker said.
Winfield police would like anyone with information connected to the shooting to call the police department at 620-221-5555 or Cowley County Crime Stoppers at 620-221-7777.
