Central Avenue at Washington will reopen by the Thanksgiving holiday.

The busy downtown intersection has been closed for nearly three weeks as crews worked to repair a water main break.

Traffic was rerouted during that time.

A city spokesperson confirmed to The Eagle that pavement markings were going down on the intersection Wednesday so it can later be reopened to traffic.

Only one northbound lane of Washington was open during the repair. All other lanes were closed.
