77-year-old woman knocked down at Walmart during a brazen robbery, Texas video shows

Two men in Texas were arrested on Saturday after police say they were caught on surveillance video stealing a woman’s purse out of her cart at Walmart.

Police in Rockwall shared the video to Facebook. It shows two men walking into a Walmart Neighborhood Market behind a woman pushing a cart.

The men snatch the purse from the woman’s cart and start to run, knocking her over in the process. The woman and her cart topple to the ground.

The 77-year-old suffered injuries from the fall and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, WFAA reported.

Police say the men initially got away in a gray Ford but tipped off police when they used the woman’s credit cards in nearby Garland.

Officers later found the car and tried to pull the pair over, but they sped off and a chase ensued before the suspects/ ultimately pulled over, police say.

David Heffner, 34, and Jessie Caston Jr., 29, were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, KXAS reported. They’re each being held on $100,000 bond, according to jail records.

Rockwall is roughly 25 miles northeast of Dallas.
