The Maize board has narrowed its field of superintendent candidates to four and will conduct interviews and host public receptions for each finalist this week.
Koenigs, the first finalist, has worked in Emporia since 2012. Before that he served as associate superintendent for academic affairs in the Andover district and assistant superintendent in Pratt. He has degrees from Kansas State University and Wichita State University.
