Police arrest man in fatal shooting near Harry and Hillside

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a fourplex near Harry and Hillside last week.

Alexzander Rye was arrested shortly after noon Sunday in the 1500 block of North Clarence, police records show. He was booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and criminal possession of a firearm.

Police have not yet released the name of the 42-year-old man found shot to death at 2618 E. Wilma last Wednesday. He was shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim had been staying at the residence for several days with an acquaintance who lived there, police have said.
