The driver of the Dodge Ram 1500 fled the scene, prompting members of the Sheriff’s Office Major Crash Team and detectives to petition community members for tips. The Sheriff’s Office initially said the pickup was black in color, but a spokesperson with the agency confirmed Monday morning it was actually dark blue.

Information provided by members of the public later lead to the identification and discovery of the involved vehicle, the release said.

The truck’s driver, however, has not been identified, and no arrests have been made. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
