Police identified a 29-year-old man killed during a shooting that injured four other people Friday at a southwest Wichita trailer park.

Deontre Lawrence, of Wichita, died from his injuries at the Southborough Estates in the 4800 block of South Gordon, Wichita police spokesperson Andrew Ford said Monday.

Lawrence and the four other shooting victims all knew each other though their specific relationships are unclear. The four others who were shot are expected to recover.

Officers responded to a shooting at the trailer park, near 47th Street South and Meridian, at 5:59 p.m. on Friday. There, they found Lawrence, who died at the scene, and three other victims who had been shot, police said.

A fourth shooting victim, a man, was found about a mile and a half away in the 4700 block of Seneca. He had flagged down officers who were en route to the trailer park.

Ford said the man and vehicle on Seneca were “related to the incident in the 4800 block of South Gordon.”

One of the shooting victims was considered was considered a person of interest. But was not still being considered as of Monday afternoon. Ford said there is no shooting suspect in custody.

“We believe we’ve identified all involved individuals, but at this time, we have not made any arrests,” Ford said in an email.

The shooting remains under investigation as police work to learn what led up to the shooting. Anyone with information regarding the case is encouraged to call detectives at 316-268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.

This is the city’s 25th homicide case of the year. There were 21 at this time last year.
