Man arrested, accused of stealing catalytic converters from west Wichita dealer

Wichita police have arrested 32-year-old Sean Gisick of Wichita, alleging he was found stealing catalytic converters from a west Wichita dealership early Wednesday.

Someone called 911 shortly after 5 a.m. after reported hearing the sound of metal being cut from the Super Car Guys lot in the 100 block of North West Street, police said.

Officers found Gisick crawling in the parking lot with three catalytic converters and a handheld Sawzall, Wichita police said in a Facebook post.

Three vehicles on the lot had their catalytic converters cut and removed, police said.

Gisick was arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of felony charges of theft of property and criminal damage to property, the post said.
