The general sales manager of a used car dealership has agreed to pay penalties and costs totaling up to $20,000 after an investigation by the Sedgwick County district attorney’s office.

Thomas Anderson, who manages Credit King Auto Sales at 3205 S. Broadway, was accused of violating protection consumer laws after a customer filed a complaint seeking the title to her vehicle, according to a news release from the district attorney’s office.

Anderson denied violating consumer protection laws, but accepted the consent judgment to settle the matter.

The DA’s investigation found that Anderson failed to deliver the title within 60 days of the purchase and evidence that numerous vehicles sold by the dealership had fraudulent 60-day tags, the release says.

Anderson agreed to train salesperson to avoid a repeat of the allegations and make sure they are properly licensed, the release said.
