Bicyclist taken to hospital after hit and run in south Wichita, official says
A bicyclist was taken to the hospital in serious condition after a hit and run Wednesday morning in south Wichita, according to a dispatch supervisor.
The original call said the bicyclist was hit this morning in the 900 block of West 27th Street South near Seneca, the supervisor said.
“The cyclist reported being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene,” Officer Charley Davidson said in a news release. “The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are working to determine all the circumstances of what occurred.”
It was the second hit and run in Wichita in the past three days. On Monday, police responded to a hit and run involving a pedestrian that led to the woman being hospitalized.
Anyone with information about either case can call investigators at 316-350-3685, the See Something Say Something hotline at 316-519-2282 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
