Five arrested, including teens, in 78-year-old Eureka man’s killing, KBI says
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says five people are now in custody in the killing of a 78-year-old Eureka man earlier this month. The agency said in a news release Monday it isn’t expecting any more arrests connected to Danny Shue’s death.
Last week, authorities arrested four people: Noah J.E. Farr, 30, of Dighton; Joseph E. Warden, 25, of El Dorado; Leon A. Lindsay, 34, of El Dorado; and a 17-year-old El Dorado boy. Each are facing charges of felony murder, aggravated burglary, felony theft and conspiracy to commit felony theft, the KBI said in prior news releases.
The final arrest came Monday afternoon. Around 2:35 p.m., authorities jailed a 15-year-old boy from Scott City on suspicion of felony murder, aggravated burglary, felony theft and conspiracy to commit felony theft, the KBI said.
The Greenwood County Attorney’s Office will prosecute those arrested in the case, according to the news release.
Greenwood County authorities found Shue’s body during an Aug. 19 welfare check at his home. The KBI has not released details about how he died.
