Armed robberies at three Wichita gas stations Sunday night may be linked, police say

Wichita police say three armed robberies that took place within an hour Sunday night may be connected. Authorities are asking the public for help identifying the suspects.

Wichita police spokesman Officer Charley Davidson said three gas stations on the east side of town all reported two men entering their stores with guns, demanding cash and then running away after employees handed some over.

The first robbery took place around 10:35 p.m. at the Circle K convenience store in the 1300 block of North Oliver. Twenty minutes later, the Breaktime Corner Market in the 2000 block of South Oliver was struck.

By 11:20 p.m., robbers had hit a third gas station, the Jump Start in the 1500 block of East Pawnee.

Davidson said the similarities led investigators to think the crimes may be connected.

Anyone with information about the robberies or gunmen can leave a tip with Wichita police detectives at 316-268-4407, Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111 or the See Something, Say Something hotline at 316-519-2282.
