Man, 20, dies after being shot in vehicle on Kellogg earlier this week
A 20-year-old Wichita man shot early Monday morning as a passenger in a vehicle on Kellogg has died, police said.
Broderick Lloyd died Wednesday from his injuries and a 21-year-old man who was also shot in the incident remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were called about a shooting at around 12:30 a.m. Monday. Officers found Lloyd in a wrecked vehicle below the Kellogg and Grove bridge with “several gunshot wounds,” Officer Kevin Wheeler said in a news release.
The 21-year-old was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. He had “multiple gunshots wounds to his body,” Wheeler said.
Police said the victims were in a vehicle traveling east on Kellogg when they were shot. The vehicle then left the road and crashed underneath the bridge.
The shooting was not random, Wheeler said.
