Former Kansas elementary school counselor arrested on suspicion of teacher sex crime
A former counselor at a Kansas elementary school who had also worked at a high school has been arrested on suspicion of a child sex crime.
Riley County Police Department arrest reports show 34-year-old Kristofer O’Brion Bailey was arrested Saturday morning at his Manhattan home on suspicion of unlawful sexual relations of a teacher with a student who is 16 or older.
Bailey is listed as an academic coach at Kansas State University’s Academic Achievement Center.
Bailey was previously a counselor at St. George Elementary School in the Rock Creek school district, the Manhattan Mercury reported. Before that, he was the ISS supervisor at Manhattan High School and had also worked as an aide at Frank Bergman Elementary School in Manhattan, KSNT reported.
Bailey was featured by K-State in a 2014 documentary about first generation college students.
