Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested two men suspected of a murder, kidnapping and robbery.
Booking reports show Thomas Ray Armstrong and Efrain Daniel Arroyo II were arrested by deputies in connection to the same case.
Armstrong, 33, of Wichita, was arrested Friday in the 4100 block of Jonquil on suspicion of intentional first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery. He remains in the Sedgwick County Jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
Arroyo, 30, of Derby, was arrested Saturday at the Kwik Shop at 47th South and Clifton. He was also booked on suspicion of intentional first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery, in addition to four contempt of court charges from unrelated Wichita police cases. He is being held in the Sedgwick County Jail. No bond amount was listed Sunday afternoon.
Sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Tim Myers said Monday that the arrests were in connection to the death of Christian Osvaldo Hernandez, 30, of Wichita. Hernandez’s body was found by a passerby Wednesday morning along a road near Bel Aire. He had a gunshot wound, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. A white sedan the sheriff’s office said was connected to the case has been found.
