Wichita police arrest Missouri man accused of shooting man in head, killing him
Wichita police have arrested a Missouri man accused of shooting and killing another Missouri man Friday morning.
Brandon Craig, 22, of Independence, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting death of of Justin Lane, 21, of Grain Valley, Mo., Wichita police said in a news release.
Officer Charley Davidson said Lane was found with a single gunshot wound to his head after police were called at around 8:30 a.m. to a shooting at a home in the 800 block of South Emporia. Lane was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that Lane and Craig were visiting a friend who lived at the home. A “disturbance” between the two men led to Craig allegedly firing one shot from a handgun, and the bullet struck Lane in his head, Davidson said.
