The Wichita Eagle

A teenage boy has been arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of an attempted aggravated robbery outside of the QuikTrip in the 600 block of South Hillside.

The 15-year-old had approached a 63-year-old man with a handgun and demanded money at about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1, police said.

The 63-year-old reported the attempted robbery to police and ran away with no loss or injuries, officer Charley Davidson said.

Investigators were able to identify the 15-year-old as a suspect, and he has since been charged in the case, Davidson said.
