Investigators have identified the car believed to have been used in a killing in which a Tulsa man’s body was found near 69th and Hillside, a Sedgwick County sheriff’s official said Wednesday.

Investigators think the car – a 2000 green Buick LeSabre with Oklahoma tag 391FLR – is in the Tulsa area, Sedgwick County sheriff’s Lt. Lin Dehning said.

Sedgwick County detectives and Tulsa detectives are working together on the case, which remains unsolved, Dehning said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Sedgwick County detectives at 316-660-5300, Crime Stoppers, 316-267-2111, or 800-222-TIPS.

The body of Dale Childress was found lying partially in the road in the 4000 block of 69th Street North at around 6 p.m. on Feb. 15. Sheriff’s officials have said an autopsy indicated that he died of a gunshot wound and was killed where he was found.

Childress, 56, was wanted in connection with the January shooting deaths of 37-year-old Jennifer Sudar and 26-year-old Amanda Douglas outside an east Tulsa apartment complex.
