West Street exit from Kellogg to close this weekend

The West Street exit from westbound Kellogg will be closed this weekend, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

The exit will be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday for the installation of a water line and storm sewer line at the bottom of the ramp, said Tom Hein, KDOT spokesman, in a news release. The exit may also be closed Sunday, he said.

The work is part of the I-235 interchange project at Kellogg, which began last year. The West Street on-ramps from Kellogg have been closed since January. They will stay closed until mid-summer while new ramps are being built, Hein said.
