These are Wichita’s top 10 cutest cats, according to readers. Who should make the final?
When it comes to cats, older is apparently better, according to Wichita Eagle readers.
Our contest for the area’s cutest cat has found its top 10, and it’s pretty much down to middle-aged and senior cats, who’ve outlasted dozens of younger cats and kittens.
Only one of the top 10 is even close to being a kitten — Piper, who recently celebrated her first birthday. Everyone else is 5 years or older. The senior of the group? That would be 17-year-old Calvin, and he’s got four other competitors in the double digits.
The top 10 has quite a few tabbies, but some tuxedo, calico and orange friends also found their way into the semifinal. But who will end up in the final?
In this round of voting, our fourth since the contest began in October, we’ll narrow the top 10 down to the final four, then vote again to find our winner, who will be featured in an Eagle story.
This semifinal round goes from Tuesday, Nov. 19, until Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11:59 p.m. Eagle subscribers can vote as many times as they would like in that time.
And remember: This poll isn’t scientific, just for fun!
