Wichita police identify man killed in industrial accident after trailer axle fell on him
Police have identified the 68-year-old Towanda man they say was killed while working on a trailer at a Wichita construction business.
David Adams was found by co-workers around 2 p.m. on Thursday at Wildcat Construction Company, 3219 W. May, which is northeast of Pawnee and Southwest Boulevard, pinned under the axle of the trailer he had been working on, Wichita police spokesperson Chad Ditch said in a news release.
“Several coworkers helped remove Adams from under the axle and immediately called 911 and administered CPR,” Ditch said.
First responders found Adams unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead at 2:30 p.m. Police do not suspect any foul play.
A person who answered the phone at Wildcat Construction said that no one at the company would comment about the accident.
