A man was taken to a Wichita hospital Thursday afternoon with non-life-threatening injuries after a three-car wreck sent his pickup over the I-135 railing near 13th Street, according to Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper David Irankunda.

The incident happened around 3:40 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-135. Irankunda says the truck was going “too fast” as traffic was beginning to back up. The truck sideswiped a Chrysler passenger vehicle and then hit another vehicle, Irankunda said.

The truck landed upside down along the bank of the canal. The other two vehicles each had one person inside of them and neither was injured, Irankunda said.
