Firefighters responding to the scene found fire in the living room of the house. The 46-year-old woman who lives there was found in the bedroom.

She has mobility issues and was unable to escape, officials have said. She was taken to the burn unit of Via Christi Hospital St. Francis for treatment.

The fire caused an estimated $70,000 in damage. The cause has not been released.
