Police will conduct DUI saturation patrol in Wichita tonight
There will be a driving under the influence patrol tonight in Wichita.
Wichita police Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said officers in the Patrol East bureau will be conducting the saturation patrol.
“Drivers are encouraged to drink responsibly and call for a ride home if they’ve had too much to drink,” Woodrow said.
The patrol is funded by a grant from an Impaired Driving Deterrence program with the Kansas Department of Transportation.
A saturation patrol targeting intoxicated drivers in west Wichita netted three arrests last weekend, police said this week.
