New Waterfront Plaza luxury consignment boutique opens Wednesday

If you’re a fan of brands such as Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton and you like discounted prices, too, then let the shopping begin.

The Little Bird, Keele Loyd’s third women’s luxury consignment store nationally, is opening Wednesday at Waterfront Plaza by the Whole Foods Market at the northwest corner of 13th and Webb Road.

“I’m excited to get the door open,” she said.

Loyd said she wants the store “to be a very warm and inviting environment.”

The shop, which is in the former Pink Saloon/Assembly 19 Clothing Boutique space, will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Loyd was living in Colorado when she opened her first Little Bird in Aspen in 2007. In 2011, she expanded with a second store in Houston.

Since June 2024, Loyd has been living in Andover because she has family in the area, including her parents.

Like her other stores, Loyd said the new one will have handbags and shoes — her top sellers — new and used jewelry and a range of women’s clothing from denim to dresses.

The brands she’ll carry will vary from day to day, but there will be well-known and some lesser-known couture items.

Loyd said her goal is to offer a variety of price points and sizes to accommodate most everyone.

Potential consignors can e-mail photos of what they’d like to sell and then either bring in the items or have them picked up.

Loyd said she’ll walk consignors through her brand guidelines.

“We just try to make the best decision on what our client will buy.”

Loyd said she lets consignors review prices and ask any questions before items go to the sales floor. Typically, a consignor will get 50% of a sale and receive a check once a month for items.

For more information, the store can be reached at consign@thelittlebirdinc.com.

Don Piros of Landmark Commercial Real Estate handled the deal for the space.

Loyd said she wants to focus on the experience for her customers and help them find unique and fun pieces they may not see other places.

“I really want people to come in and have a good time.”
