As often happens with stores that are about to open, the debut of the new SOT Boutique at Towne East Square was pushed back a bit, but it’s now for sure opening on Friday.

Owners Heather and Anthony MacMahon were finishing up final details on the new 13,000-square-foot space, which is where Forever 21 used to be.

In the meantime, SOT, which stands for Saving on Threads, has been open in a 1,500-square-foot space nearby.

Everything in the store is $4.99, which Anthony MacMahon previously said means no one ever has to look at a price tag.

The store sells sells women’s clothing and accessories. Also, by popular demand, it’s going to have children’s clothing as well.

The MacMahons, who are based in Hutchinson, are now in four states with SOT. The Towne East SOT is the only one with children’s clothing.

Heather MacMahon has referred to SOT as “a fancy liquidation boutique.”

She said she can’t name the chains where they get their merchandise, but they said they’re some of the biggest retailers there are.

The MacMahons’ Every Room concept also is now open at Towne East Square in 22,000 square feet where the Sears auto center used to be. It has furniture 55% off of retail prices. There’s also home decor.

They’re also working to open a higher-end online store this spring called SOT Limited, which will have clothing that normally retails for more than $80.

It will have designer brands such as Donna Karan, Trina Turk and Ugg. Look for more information when it debuts.
