August fire forces Occidental Plaza tenant to make a move to Clifton Square

When Occidental Plaza caught fire downtown in August, Computer Troubleshooters owner Sarah Nivison intended on waiting for renovations.

“We loved and adored and grew big time at the Occidental,” says Nivison, who has owned the 15-year-old business for a decade.

“We really didn’t want to move.”

However, what Nivison calls an “unfortunate situation” forced her to.

Because Occidental Plaza is a historic property, she says, “The repairs are just going to take longer than we could wait, and there was just this great space in Clifton.”

On Monday, the managed IT services company will open in 1,600 square feet at Clifton Square where Paint the Towne formerly was.

Stephanie Wise of John T. Arnold Associates handled the deal.

“It’s a really solid shopping area,” Nivison says. “There’s just a lot of great businesses.”

The bulk of Computer Troubleshooters clients are other businesses. About 20% of Nivison’s customers are residential users.

Unlike her previous space, Nivison says Clifton Square gives her quite a bit of visibility.

Still, she says, “We loved Occidental. Absolutely loved it.”
