Are Wichita Dillons, Walmart open for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day? When to shop

Christmas is just days away, and with every major holiday comes store closures.

Wichita’s Target, Dillons, Walmart and Costco Wholesale are among the major grocery stores closing their doors Thursday, Dec. 25. Additionally, Kansas law does not allow liquor stores to operate on the holiday — one of three holidays alcohol sales are prohibited.

If you need of a last-minute grocery run Thursday, you’ll be out of luck. But thankfully, most grocery stores in Wichita are open for reduced hours Wednesday for Christmas Eve.

So if you find yourself in need of a quick grocery store run this Christmas week, here’s your guide to grocery store hours Dec. 24.

Dillons

Dillons will be open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Walmart

Walmart locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 24.

Target

Target stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Aldi

Aldi stores will close at 4 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Whole Foods

Whole Foods will close at 7 p.m. Dec. 24.

Natural Grocers

Natural Grocers will be closing at 6:06 p.m. (yes, 6:06 p.m.) Christmas Eve.

Trader Joe’s

Trader Joe’s will close four hours early, at 5 p.m., Christmas Eve.

Sam’s Club

Sam’s Club will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Costco

Costco will be open until 5 p.m. Dec. 24.

GreenAcres Market

GreenAcres Market will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.
