Last minute grocery run? 6 Wichita grocery stores will be closed on Thanksgiving
The holiday season is underway, and Thanksgiving is just days away.
Whether you’re hosting or attending a family dinner, planning a friendsgiving or aiming for a quiet holiday at home, chances are you have a grocery list of items you’ll need to have a successful feast.
As you plan your spread, it’s important to pick up your ingredients ahead of the holiday, as many grocery stores are closed Thursday, Nov. 27, including Target, Walmart, Natural Grocers, Sam’s Club, Costco and all Green Acres Market locations in Wichita.
Liquor stores are not allowed to operate on the holiday, so if you’re planning on making any holiday cocktails or bringing a bottle of wine to your event, be sure to plan accordingly.
Many other services will close Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving, including banks and the U.S. Postal Service. Additionally, trash haulers and land fills that operate in Sedgwick County will also be closed.
