Garden events
Winter farmers market — The Kansas Grown Farmers Market will have an indoor market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Extension Center, 21st and Ridge Road. Local and area vendors will be selling meats (bison, beef, chicken and pork); fresh produce; farm eggs; jams, jellies, salsa, honey and baked goods including gluten-free items; handmade gifts and wood crafts; and herb plants. Admission is free.
Garden classes — The Extension master gardeners will have a day of gardening classes on Jan. 31 at the Extension Center, 21st and Ridge Road. There will be the opportunity to attend five classes, with four choices for each class time period. The first starts at 9 a.m. The cost is $10.
