Farmers market at GreenAcres opens Tuesday
The Tuesday evening farmers market at GreenAcres at Bradley Fair will open for the season Tuesday. The hours for the Kansas Grown market at 21st and Rock Road will be from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays. The Saturday market at 21st and Ridge Road is open from 7 a.m. to noon. The Old Town Farmers Market will open May 7.
Junior League to have kitchen tour
The kitchens in five east-side houses will be featured on the Junior League’s fourth-annual kitchen tour May 1. Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 the day of the event (at Junior League headquarters, 6402 E. 12th St.). Buy tickets online at jlwichita.org under the “Events” tab. Proceeds go toward efforts to stop child abuse.
Botanica accepting book donations
Botanica is collecting books for its book sale on Mother’s Day. If you have gardening books, cookbooks or do-it-yourself books that you would like to donate, take them to Botanica during regular hours — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday — by April 30.
