Daffodil show on Sunday
Daffodil show on Sunday
It’s been a great growing season for daffodils, and you can see all kinds of shapes, sizes and colors of the perky flowers at a show Sunday at Botanica. The Wichita Daffodil Society will have its annual show from 1 to 4 p.m. featuring daffodils in arrangements as well as singly. Admission to the show is free.
Growers and designers are welcome to exhibit, also at no cost; entries will be accepted from 7 to 10 a.m. Sunday.
Small-rug savvy
One way to use a small special rug is to layer it over inexpensive sisal, says Woven Accents creative director Ginna Christensen. You can also use small rugs in bedrooms on either side of the bed like you often see in Europe. Flatweave and low-pile antique rugs can be draped over coffee tables and chairs and sometimes the end of a bed.
