Decorating the house for Halloween?

Are you planning to decorate the outside of your house for Halloween? Let us know by sending a short description of your decorating plan, your address and daytime telephone number – along with a jpeg photo if you have one – to acalovich@wichitaeagle.com by Oct. 26, and your house may be featured in the Home & Garden section on Halloween.

Joshua Clyborne in northwest Wichita already has his Halloween light show going to music, with 4,900 lights on nine musical sequences at 106.9 FM and two fog machines. The house is at 6726 W. Ocieo (go north on Ridge Road to Ocieo, between 48th and 49th streets, then go east).

Mosaic class at Bartlett

Robin Macy and Pat Felton will offer a mosaic workshop on Oct. 24 and 25 at Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plaine. The cost is $75, with all supplies included to learn the process and to make a mosaic piece to take home. Snacks will be served. For more information, email info@BartlettArboretum.com.

Make herbal bath items

The Herb Society of South-Central Kansas will meet Tuesday evening at Botanica to make peppermint foot scrubs, tub teas and lavender or rose-geranium bath melts. The meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.
