What’s up with the 360 Deli & Grill restaurants in Wichita? Here’s what we know:

Though it looks like it’s ready to go, the 360 Deli & Grill restaurant at 701 W. 21st St. never opened. Now, the building’s landlord is looking for a new tenant.

Things aren’t looking great for the return of 360 Deli & Grill.

The owners of the restaurant emptied out and closed their location at 11309 E. Kellogg at the end of December, later saying that they planned to remodel it. One of the owners, Faisal Assaedi, said at the time that the Kellogg restaurant, which first opened in March 2024, would reopen soon.

It never did, though, and now the building’s owner, Landmark Commercial Real Estate President and CEO Brad Saville, said he’s unclear when — or if — the restaurant will return. He hasn’t been able to reach the owners, he said.

Meanwhile, the landlord of the building at 701 W. 21st, where the owners planned a second location of 360 Deli & Grill, recently put the building up for lease. Back in February, Assaedi said that the restaurant was on the verge of opening, but it never did, even though from the outside, it looks like it could open any day. The building has a new paint job, and all the signs are up.

Building owner Hamid Bakhtiari said that he was told that the restaurant’s chef returned to New York for personal reasons, “which has significantly impacted the group’s ability to continue operating the restaurant,” he said. “As a result, we will be re-leasing the fully turnkey quick-service restaurant space and are excited about the opportunity to bring in a new concept to the community.”

Alex Ibarra with Reece Nichols South Central Kansas has the listing on the space, which has about 2,000 square feet and a drive-through window.

Assaedi has not returned multiple messages from The Eagle about the status of the restaurants.

He and his partners, Naseem Allahabi and Muqnea Elaya, first announced in August 2023 their plans to open several New York City-style eateries around Wichita. They started with Nas Kitchen, which opened in 1920 W. 21st St. in October 2023 but closed eight months later. Next, they opened the Kellogg restaurant.

Assaedi and Elaya also own 360 Tobacco & Vape stores across Wichita.

Saville said that, although he did not have any information on the plans for the Kellogg 360 Deli & Grill spot, he is looking for a tenant for the 4,000-square-foot restaurant space in the same strip center. Until August of last year, it was home to Tianluo Bistro.

I’ll let you know if I hear back from the owners of 360 Deli & Grill.
