Local doughnut shop to add another location this month. Andover is next.
A local donut shop that has seen rapid growth around the Wichita area is about to add another location. And it likely won’t be the last.
SK Donut, which first opened in 2022 in Arkansas City, is about to add its sixth Wichita-area store in the former NAS Kitchen space at 1920 W. 21st St. Owners should open by the end of the month.
The new shop will have the same menu items as the other area locations: cake doughnuts, raised doughnuts, twists, bear claws, sausage rolls, croissant sandwiches, kolaches, biscuits and gravy, and boudin rolls as well as hot and iced coffee and cappuccino.
It won’t have a drive-through but will have parking spaces right in front.
SK Donut is likely not finished expanding, either. The owners’ real estate agent, Brett Gehrer of Petra RE Brokerage LLC, said he’s helping them find a spot in Andover, too. That addition could come in less than six months.
A year after starting in Arkansas City, SK Donut expanded to 133 N. Main in Haysville. It opened another location in the former Hiro’s Express building at 1542 E. 61st St. North in Park City in February.
It added a shop at 5255 N. Maize Road in Maize in early November then a couple of weeks later opened its first Wichita location: in the former Knolla’s Pizza space at 7020 W. Central.

Another new doughnut shop also opened in Wichita over the holidays: USA Donuts has been operating in a strip center at 1530 S. Oliver since mid-December. (The other end of the center is occupied by a soon-to-open second location of Alejandro’s Mexican Food.)
In addition to glazed and cake doughnuts and kolaches, it also serves boba tea, fruit tea and blended coffee.
USA Donuts has its own drive-through window. Its hours are 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
