Oktoberfest season in Wichita includes new party in Delano, debut of Prost space

Oktoberfest season in Wichita starts this weekend and will continue through Oct. 11 at various bars, breweries and venues around Wichita.

But Oktoberfest 2025 will include a couple of highlights beyond the typical lederhosen and steinhoisting.

For one, the owners of Prost say they’ll have their restaurant relocated from Central and Volutsia to their new, larger space at 134 St. Francis just in time to put on their annual October party.

Also: New-to-town Manhattan Brewing Company is planning a big party at their lounge in Delano.

Here’s a chronological guide to 2025 Oktoberfest fun in Wichita.

Oktoberfest at the Gnome, 1719 E. Victor St.: Hopping Gnome Brewing Company is putting on its own Oktoberfest party starting at noon on Saturday, Sept. 20. Food truck Mi Sueno will serve an Oktoberfest-themed menu from 4 to 8 p.m., and the event also will include stein hoisting plus live music from MJ12 starting at 8 p.m.

Oktoberfest in Delano, 117 N. Handley: The Manhattan Brewing Company Lounge in Delano will put on a big Oktoberfest party from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, that will include games, live music and the release of the brewery’s new Fest beer. Admission is free.

Oktoberfest at Elderslie Farm, 3501 E. 101st St. North, Kechi: The owners of Elderslie Farm have their annual Oktoberfest party planned for 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27. The party will include beer, pretzels and bratwurst plus a caber toss, a petting zoo, horse-drawn carriage rides, lawn games and live music. Local vendors will also be there selling their wares. Tickets are $12.50 for an individual and $45 for a family at eldersliefarm.com/oktoberfest

Oktoberfest Party at Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island: Old Town’s open-air bar will put on its Oktoberfest party from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. It will include brats fresh off the grill, and bierocks. Those who buy a $25 Oktoberfest stein also get two beer tickets. Live music starts at 2 p.m., and the bar will resume the celebration at 8 p.m. with music from Monterey Jack.

Oktoberfest at Prost, 134 St. Francis: This popular German restaurant is in the middle of moving from its original home at the Revolutsia shipping container mall to its new, two-story home across the street from Nortons Brewing Company. It’s going to be tight, the owners have said, but they will be open in time for their annual Oktoberfest party, which will be Oct. 2-4. The event will last from 5 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 2, when the brewery will tap its celebration keg, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 3 and 4. Admission will be $5 at the door. A $35 ticket will include a celebration stein.

Prost’s Oktoberfest will also include a stein-holding contest, a wiener toss and a sauerkraut-eating contest. People also will be able to order pretzels with dip, bratwurst and homemade chips. Attendees are encouraged to dress up, and the event will be family friendly. Prost’s owners said they would put up an eventbrite page offering tickets this week.

Oktoberfest at Brass Taproom, 614 S. Tyler: The bar attached to Side Pockets in west Wichita is putting on an Oktoberfest party from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, that will include a special food and drink menu, games, prizes, custom mugs and giveaways. Traditional German Oktoberfest clothing is suggested. Admission is free, but the party is open to ages 21 and over only.

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Oktoberfest: This church always throws an Oktoberfest party, and this year’s is on Saturday, Oct. 4. It will feature live bands including Annie Up, Camino and Blooming Idiots., an all-day inflatables park for kids, keg races and contests for adults, including beer stein races, keg races and a costume contest. The event also will offer German beers on tap and a menu that includes sauerkraut balls, brats and other German fare. Admission is free but kids who want to play on the inflatables must get a $10 pass.

Art & Ale Oktoberfest Pop Up Market at Nortons Brewing Company, 125 N. St. Francis: This downtown brewery is hosting the fall edition of Art & Ale, which is put on by Haute Handmade Pop Up Market. It will last from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, and will include booths filled with artists selling their goods in an open-air market. Admission is free.

Bloctoberfest at Naftzger Park: Xclusive Event’s 10th annual Oktoberfest event is scheduled for 4 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 10 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 11 and will once again be staged in Naftzger Park, 102 S. St Francis in downtown Wichita. The event will include a vendor market on Saturday plus wiener dog races, a dad bod contest, a stein hoist, yard games, food trucks and booze trucks. Admission is free, but a beer fest that will last from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 10 requires a ticket that’s $60 in advance. For tickets and a full event schedule, visit ictbloktoberfest.com
