Last year, the Wichita Riverfest not only raised button prices from $15 to $20, but it also eliminated the early-bird option, where festivalgoers could buy discounted buttons before a certain date.

This year, though, the button price staying the same but the early-bird option is back. Riverfest buttons are now on sale for $15 for adults through April 26 at the Riverfest headquarters, 444 E. William, or online at wichitariverfest.com/shop

Full-price buttons, which will cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids ages 6-12, go on sale on May 2 at local QuikTrip stores. Children 5 and under will be admitted to the festival for free.

This year’s festival is scheduled for May 30-June 7 in and around Century II. The button serves as admission to all the events, including the lineup of big-name concerts that the festival announced last month. It includes stars like FloRida, Everclear and Chris Janson.

This year’s festival also will include three fireworks shows, The Eagle Medallion Hunt, the River Run, the ice cream social, the Cajun Food Fest and carnival rides. The full schedule is posted at wichitariverfest.com/events

Certain events don’t require buttons for admission, including the Sundown Parade on May 30 and the main food court from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
