Kansas Star Casino switching up its dining options, adding ‘food hall’ with 4 new concepts
If you’re a gambler, you might want to try a new food hall that will open next week at the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane.
The casino said in a news release that it will celebrate a grand-opening of its new Star Market Food Hall, which will feature four fast-casual dining brands, on March 6. The casino’s website, however, says that the concepts will be open to the public on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The new options will replace the casino’s existing restaurants An Pho and The Star Deli. The food hall will operate in the old Kitchen Buffet space, which has been revamped.
The Kitchen Buffet and An Pho both were part of the casino’s restaurant lineup when it first opened in 2012.
The casino is known to occasionally change up its dining lineup: In 2016, for example, it added Tin Lizard Bar & Grill in a space that originally had a sports bar concept called Shark Bar.
The casino’s fine-dining restaurant, Woodfire Grille, will not be affected by the changes.
The new food hall will have 140 seats and will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 a.m. daily. Each restaurant outlet will have its own hours.
People must be 21 to enter the casino.
Following are the restaurants that will be included:
35 Brew Street: This vendor will serve fresh brewed coffee, pastries and heat-and-serve sandwiches. Among the menu options are a pulled pork sandwich with mango habanero barbecue sauce and coleslaw; the Big Boy grilled cheese sandwich; and an Asian chicken salad. This concept is designed for early-morning and late-night casino patrons.
Stella Bistro: This fast-casual concept will serve Italian food at lunch and dinner, and its menu will include pizza by the slice, sandwiches, strombolis and salads.
Asian Noodle: Asian classics Kung Pao chicken, beef pho and stir-fries will be offered at this food hall vendor.
Taqueria Buena: Customers will be able to get tacos, al pastor plates, and burrito rice bowls at this vendor, which also will offer desserts like churros and tres leches.
