Two restaurants with the same name but different owners are set to open in Wichita this month — and one will be ready to go this weekend.

Wichita has been hearing for a while about the impending arrival of Paris Banh Mi — an Orlando-based chain that specializes in Vietnamese sandwiches, boba tea, desserts and Korean corn dogs — and soon, it will have two locations of the restaurant.

The first one will be at 2560 S. Seneca, which is the building that West Street Burgers used to have. That location of Paris Banh Mi, owned by Nhu-Y Nguyen and her husband, Phat Dang, will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday starting at 11 a.m., when a dragon dance team will perform. After Saturday, its hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

On opening day, the restaurant — which also has a drive through — will serve its 10-inch banh mi sandwiches, croissants, burgers, Korean corn dogs, boba tea, coffee, pastries, cheesecake and macaroons. It will soon be adding pho noodle soup and fried chicken to the menu.

Then, in mid-May, Kieu Nguyen and her husband, Tuyen Ninh, will open their Paris Banh Mi at 2350 N. Greenwich, suite 1100, where Custom RX used to operate. It will also serve banh mi sandwiches, Korean corn dogs, boba drinks and desserts, and eventually, it will add pho to the menu, said Nguyen, who also owns VIP Nails at 550 N. Rock Road. But their restaurant won’t serve fried chicken.

Its hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Sundays.
