A list of Wichita restaurants closing for summer vacations in the coming weeks
Restaurant owners need vacations, too, and every year, a crop of them close down in Wichita for a period around the Fourth of July.
In some cases, restaurants are already closed for the holiday. Other vacation periods will start this week.

Eggroll Express, 331 31st St. West: This food truck will be closed starting on Sunday, July 3, and will reopen on July 19.
Felipe’s Northeast, 2241 N. Woodlawn: This location of Felipe’s is closed as of today and won’t reopen until July 7.
Felipe’s, 445 S. 119th St. and 3434 W. Central: Both of these Felipe’s restaurants will close for vacation starting Sunday, July 3, and will reopen on July 12.
Grandma Thuy’s, 8728 W. Maple: Tuesday, June 28, is this egg roll restaurant’s last day open before it’s closed for vacation. It will reopen on July 12.
Leaf Teahouse ICT, 1912 E. Pawnee: This boba shop closed last week — not for vacation but for a big remodel. It won’t reopen until July 18.
Little Saigon, 1015 N. Broadway: This favorite stop for pho, bun and banh mi is closed for vacation as of today and won’t reopen until July 12.
Molino’s Mexican Cuisine, 1064 N. Waco: The restaurant will be closed July 4-10. Its sister restaurant, Molino’s Taqueria on Rock Road, will close only on July 4.
Pho Chopstix, 2233 N. Ridge Road: This restaurant will close for vacation on Friday, July 1, and reopen on July 12.
Pho Ong 8, 3801 E. Harry: Vacation started last week for the staff of Pho Ong 8 Vietnamese restaurant. It will reopen on July 9.
Savute’s, 3303 N. Broadway: This Italian classic is taking vacation starting on Sunday, July 3. It will reopen on July 7.
Shanghai, 3815 E. Harry: This Chinese restaurant will be closed starting on Saturday, July 2, and will reopen on July 15.
Tacos tj 664, 1014 N. West St.: This Mexican restaurant will close Friday, July 1 and reopen on July 11.
Yokohama Ramen Izakaya, 6434 E. Central: This Normandie Center restaurant will be closed starting Wednesday, June 29, and won’t reopen until July 7.
Yokohama Ramen Joint, 613 W. Douglas: Yokohama Ramen Joint in Delano also will be closed starting Wednesday, June 29, reopening on July 7.
