This Wichita chocolate business is now serving breakfast at its three cafes
Cocoa Dolce is known for its beautiful chocolates.
But over the past several years, as the business has expanded and added shops on Wichita’s west side and downtown, it’s also added options like coffee, wine, beer, cocktails and pastries.
Now, Cocoa Dolce is getting in the breakfast business.
On Friday, the business will add savory breakfast items at all three of its locations — Bradley Fair (2132 N. Rock Road), NewMarket Square (2441 N. Maize Road), and downtown (235 N. St. Francis.), which opened in October.
The menu will include things like breakfast burritos, quiches, and a savory herbed scone. It’ll also have a yogurt bowl made with locally produced Backbone Yogurt.
The stores have offered pastries and coffee in the past and have attracted a bit of a morning crowd. But owners hope that the the savory additions, paired with its full coffee bar, will help make Cocoa Dolce more of a breakfast player.
The new menu items, which also could make for popular snacks or lunch items, will be offered all day, said Amber Travis, director of operations.
People can dine in at all three locations, and Cocoa Dolce also has a mobile app that will allow people to order, pay and use contactless pickup.
Starting Friday, the hours at Bradley Fair and NewMarket Square will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursdays; 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and noon to 9 p.m. Mondays.
Downtown will open earlier, and it’s hours will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and noon to 7 p.m. Sundays.
