Here’s the Monday list of restaurants planning comebacks from coronavirus
It’s Monday, meaning a whole lot of restaurants that announced last week their plans to reopen are now doing so, including Redrock Canyon Grill, Molino’s, Albero Cafe and Bella Luna Cafe.
But over the weekend, another batch of favorites revealed their intentions to return for carryout service only.
Here’s the latest:
Piatto Neapolitan Pizzeria, 1706 E. Douglas: It’s been a long few weeks for fans of Piatto, but the restaurant will return for carryout on May 5, it was announced over the weekend. Hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and Sundays and noon to 8 p.m. Saturdays.
The Old Spaghetti Factory, 1421 Waterfront Parkway: This restaurant reopened Friday for curbside pickup and delivery. Its hours are 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Los Cocos Mexican Restaurant: The Derby location of this restaurant reopened late last week for carryout and curbside pickup, and Andover and Wichita joined today. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Mediterranean Grill, 335 S. Towne East Mall Drive: After a month closed, Mediterranean Grill reopened today, April 27, for to-go orders and curbside pickup from a temporary menu. The hours for now will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
Donut Whole, 1720 W. Douglas: This doughnut favorite has reopened its drive-through from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. You can order in advance by phone from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Call 316-262-3700.
Egg Cetera, 242 N. Mosley: This restaurant, which was featured in a March 20 New York Times article about restaurants that had closed down amid cornavirus concerns, will reopen for carryout on May 5 unless something changes.
Cocoa Dolce Artisan Chocolates: Starting on Friday, May 1, Cocoa Dolce will reopen all three stores for to-go or carryout orders. Customers will be able to go in and place their orders and pick-out their items. Watch for a new Cocoa Dolce app, where people can also place orders
Mimi’s Eskimo Snow: This mobile shaved ice business, which last year frequently set up at Osage Park, has opened for the season in a new spot: at Westway Plaza, 2561 S. Seneca on the north side of the parking lot across from Meritrust Credit Union.
