A few more Wichita restaurant favorites share plans to reopen for carryout next week
My story about all the restaurants that announced plans to reopen this week was published in the Go! section today. (You can catch up on them online here and here.)
But the announcements just keep coming, and there are a few that didn’t make the list in time for print.
Here’s a couple of more favorites restaurants whose owners have just updated me about their plans to return:
Redrock Canyon Grill, 1844 N. Rock Road: This Wichita favorite is reopening Monday for to-go orders only.
Bella Luna Cafe: Matteo Taha closed his local restaurants back on March 18. But he says he’ll reopen for curbside pickup and delivery starting on Monday for his east location (2132 N. Rock Road) and on Wednesday for his west (2441 N. Maize Road).
Albero Cafe, 4811 E. Central: This Italian favorite at Central and Oliver will reopen on Tuesday for curbside pickup and delivery. Owner Hassan Ballout said he’s made some progress on his Greenwich Road store, too, and it should be able to open about a month after everything goes back to normal.
Xing Xing, 1920 E. Pawnee: This new restaurant, owned by the couple I profiled earlier this year that was making egg rolls from home, has just opened its new brick-and-mortar restaurant for carryout only from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For now, they’re just selling egg rolls by the dozen but will add more dishes soon.
Bricktown Brewery, 2142 N. Tyler Road: The west location of this brew pub has been closed since March 21 but just reopened for curbside pickup and delivery. The east-side remains closed for now. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Call to order at 316-613-2719.
Los Cocos Mexican Restaurant: The Derby location of Los Cocos reopened for carryout and curbside orders on Thursday. The Wichita and Andover stores are set to open early next week. Watch Facebook for details.
Country Kitchen, 915 East 53rd St. North: This restaurant reopened on Thursday for curbside and to-go orders. Hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Place an order by calling 316-832-9704.
Yokohama Ramen Izakaya and Yokohama Ramen Joint: Both restaurants will reopen for to-go on Monday, May 4.
Lava & Tonic, 1716 E. Douglas: This new tiki bar has been closed for weeks, but starting early next week, it’ll sell some of its popular drinks to-go, including half-gallon versions of its pineapple daiquiris and mojitos. It’ll also offer 8-ounce single drinks in custom bottles. Watch the bar’s social media sites for details.
A menu to peruse
Two Olives, as I reported earlier this week, reopened for daily lunch and dinner carryout this week. They’ve asked me to share with readers the menus they’re operating from for now.
The restaurant is open for carryout and is even offering free delivery.
Prepare to get hungry.
