We know it’s felt otherwise, but this is actually the first official week of summer. Here are some of the things going on in the Wichita area on Saturday and Sunday to celebrate.

Flowers in the Flint Hills garden tour around Marion, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday; $5 tickets at the Marion City Library, 101 Library St. in Marion during tour hours.

McPherson’s June Bloom Garden Tour, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; $7 tickets at the demo garden at 600 W. Woodside in McPherson during tour hours, where a free trolley will take visitors between the stops; 620-241-1523.
