10 things to do in Wichita this weekend (Dec. 6 and 7)

A thaw is on this weekend to get out and do some Christmas shopping, take carriage rides in Old Town on Saturday afternoon (noon to 4) or at Bradley Fair on Saturday evening (6 to 10), or to take in other events, including these in Wichita:

Wichita Cat Fancy regional cat show, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg; $5, $3 seniors and ages 6-12, $10 family pass good for both days.

All Things Gingerbread, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Cambridge Market at 21st and Webb Road; fees charged for activities as a benefit for Assistance League of Wichita; free admission.

Christmas parade, 1 p.m. Saturday, WaterWalk, 515 S. Main St.; free horse-drawn hay-wagon rides until 4, food trucks on Water Street from noon to 3 p.m.; www.lightsatwaterwalk.com.
