Christmas parade returns
The downtown Christmas parade is back. It will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, starting on McLean Boulevard alongside Lawrence-Dumont Stadium and crossing the river by the Wichita Boathouse to proceed around WaterWalk, where people can take their own photos with Santa and have their faces painted. Free horse-drawn hay-wagon rides will be given after the parade until 4, and food trucks will be on Water Street from noon to 3 p.m. For more information, see the website www.lightsatwaterwalk.com.
Cirque goes holiday
Cirque Dreams Holidaze is the holiday edition of the acrobatic dance troupe’s show. It will hit Century II’s Concert Hall for one performance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and will feature 30 international performers in a setting of giant ornaments and toys.
