Thunder defense stars again in 4-1 win over Mavericks
Tim Boron made 21 saves to help the Thunder beat the Mavericks 4-1 on Friday night in Independence, Mo.
The Thunder defense has limited opponents to four goals in the last four games. The streak began with a shutout win over Missouri last Saturday.
Erick Lizon and Nikita Kashirsky scored first-period goals, and Ian Lowe scored in the second as the Thunder never trailed. Todd Hosmer completed the scoring in the third period.
